East End Motorcycles was established in 1981 and is still run today by the original owners, John and Liz Borne.
Johns’ motorcycle career kicked off at Owens Brothers of Belfast in 1971 where he completed many Honda technical training courses before taking the next step, setting up East End Motorcycles 10 years later.
East End Motorcycles has seen it’s fair share of motor bikes and scooters pass through their front doors, From the early 90’s the majority of our stock was European with manufacturers such as Aprilia, Malaguti, Moto guzzi, Peugeot and the Taiwanse brands PGO & Hartford fighting it out in the showroom.
In August 2006 we purchased a range of various Chinese bikes & scooters to check build quality, finish, spare parts prices & most importantly spare parts availability, by 2007 we knew which manufacturers to deal with, Lifan for their vast range of bikes & scooters (just check their web site) & Huatian who specialize in scooters only, which we found to be stylish, very affordable and most of all reasonably reliable! These machines are a more affordable choice to the Peugeot & Kymco models we currently stock.
